 | Felixstowe Shop
BASIC operate a traditional charity shop in Felixstowe town centre.
Our second shop at 20 Orwell Road, Felixstowe opened on Saturday 23rd October 2005.
As most of our overheads are met privately we are able to offer realistic charity prices for a whole range of goods.
All shop proceeds are restricted for use in Felixstowe and the surrounding areas.
We have been able to offer REAL and IMMEDIATE practical and financial assistance to many group and individuals locally.
Our most recent donation was made to Central Surgery in Felixstowe. We purchased a specialist rerigerator and an hydraulic couch - See the Felixstowe TV report here!!

Here at last.........!!
What started as an idea from receiving a newspaper cutting about a year ago at a Trustee meeting has finally come to fruition with BASIC being able to provide a £3000.00 all-terrain wheelchair (which will enable access over the beach to the sea) for the use of Felixstowe residents and visitors to our town.
BASIC have funded the entire cost of the wheelchair after contacting OPTUA to establish the manufacturers details. The chair will be based at the Felixstowe tourist infomation centre and administered by the local Council.
Now that the chair has arrived we are pleased that the local Council are supporting the idea and we hope they will provide easy-access ramps from the promenade down to the beach for users.
As part of BASICs drive to improve medical facilities within our town we are pleased to announce that we now have purchased a specialist drugs refrigerator (£1595) and a hydraulic couch (£727) on behalf of Central Surgery after consulting the practice about their current needs.
